Flat Stanley visited Granddaddy and Grandmommy's home in Pike County near Louisiana, Missouri. Louisiana is located on the banks of the Mississippi River approximately 65 miles north of Ellisville with a population of about 4500 people. The river is used for fishing, boating, hunting and barge transporting. #1

Louisiana has 24 large picture murals painted on the sides of buildings by local artists (#2-7)

 

 

It is the home of Stark Brothers Nurseries who bought the chance seedling from Mullen's Farms. Stark Brothers called it the "Golden Delicious Apple." It became one of the most popular apples we enjoy today. The Bear Barn is a famous landmark for the company. They will be celebrating their 200th anniversary next year. #8

Flat Stanley worshiped at Trinity Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, when visiting. #9
